As part of the Friggieri family, synonymous with catering giant Busy Bee Ltd, Diane plays a crucial part in the administration of the family run business. The 44-year-old accounts executive is in charge of the financial and administrative part of the company.
Being raised in a catering family, Diane gained experience in various areas of the industry and her knowledge and experience are fundamental in the running of the accounts and human resources department.
See more See lessClive Cusens began teaching in 2003 and his international career saw him live and work in Malta, the UK, the Czech Republic, Spain and Belgium. He was a summer teacher at EF Malta between 2004 and 2010.After completing his Masters studies in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies at the College of Europe in Bruges, his career went in a different direction and he spent some time working in the European Economic and Social Committee and the European Parliament.
He eventually went on to work in a diplomatic post at the Permanent Representation of Malta
to the EU where he was the lead delegate for a number of Working Groups in the Council of
the European Union.
He now spends most of his time coaching individuals and company employees on how to speak
with impact, communicate effectively, and how to use specific techniques to ensure the
fluidity of meetings and negotiations in English. Some of his former and current clients
include Members of the European Parliament, diplomatic missions, law firms and high-level
management.
Joanna graduated from the UOM in business Management with an Honours degree in Human Resource Management in 1995. She started her career immediately with the opening of the McDonald`s franchise in Malta where she worked for 15 years, setting up the marketing department, hiring , training coaching and developing Customer Care representatives.
During her career with McDonald`s Joanna was awarded with the European Marketing Award 2001
for McDonald`s Malta best integration and implementation of the global brand strategy “im
lovin it”.
Joanna has now been with EF Malta for 5 years and is responsible for the Hiring staff for
the ILS operation, as well as Internships and EF Branding around the Island. With 20 years
of experience in hiring , training, developing and coaching, Joanna brings a wealth of
experience to the team and enjoys providing any kind of advice or help to fellow team
leaders on how to manage employee relationships.
Johan is the founder and CEO at Smart Studios, a venture at the intersection of blockchain, AI and IOT. Over the last three years he has gained extensive hands-on experience in designing and building blockchain based solutions. Prior to that, for 12 years, as CTO, he managed the development of enterprise software solutions – which also included the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Johan is the chairman of the Malta Innovation Summit, a visiting lecturer at the University
Of Malta, board member at Silicon Valletta, blockchain mentor at the MITA Innovation Hub and
also the co-founder of NetRefer, a global leader in performance marketing software.
Through various roles spanning over 20 years, as an entrepreneur, CTO, mentor, consultant,
lecturer and software engineer, Johan spends his time seeking market gaps, envisioning
software products and services that bridge these gaps and bringing them to life. Johan is
currently researching how blockchain, AI and IOT can work together to provide a competitive
advantage and make the world a better place. Johan holds a degree in I.T. and an MBA in
E-Business.
An experienced and creative software engineer and manager, Greg Sabo has been a member of the Asana team since 2016. He was responsible for the internationalization engineering team that brought multilingual support to Asana for the first time.
He loves to find lighthearted applications of web technology, whether
it’s a selfie-taking Twitter bot, a hypercapitalist screensaver, or an online game that
simulates the nightmare of booking holiday flights.
Previously he worked on engineering at Stripe and HubSpot, working in a wide variety of
technologies. He is passionate about building systems with intuitive structures and teams
with strong collaborative relationships.
